Val d’Orcia Park artistic, natural, cultural.
Now also digital
The Val d’Orcia Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, connects its territorial treasures with a new web portal and launching communication on social networks.
The site www.parcodellavaldorcia.com online for a few days, will update its contents in the coming months to become the point of reference for Park lovers. Thanks to the contribution of the Municipalities and their choral vision of the project, the site will be the main showcase for scheduled initiatives and activities. Citizens and tourists thus have an updated and official point of reference with which to compare and receive detailed information on every aspect of the park.
At the same time as the new site, the Val d’Orcia Park has created its official Facebook page, giving life to 360° digital communication. The contents of the Facebook page, like the site, will also be managed in a distributed manner with all the Municipalities that will be able to contribute to the development of communication by reporting events, telling about their territories and the people who animate them.
The new communication strategy is part of a new relaunch path undertaken by Valdorcia S.r.l which has seen the launch of several projects on the enhancement of the territory and Unesco heritage in recent months.
Alessio Bucciarelli, sole director of Valdorcia S.r.l. declares: “This is a first small step towards an integrated communication of the Park. In the coming months we will update the contents of the site also through a path of comparison with companies and subjects of the territory, with the aim of making it a real destination portal.
As a Park authority we want to be able to communicate quickly and directly. We must make the most of the numerous beauties and attractions of these territories. We are convinced that the authentic values and the lifestyle that characterize the Val d’Orcia are an invaluable added value for those who live there and for those who visit this territory.
The channels on the web will have to start addressing also the foreign public to collect and relaunch the already numerous appreciations we receive every day from all over the world, not least the beautiful quote received a few weeks ago from The Guardian on its Instagram channel. Globalization has radically changed the way of doing tourism and traveling, nowadays as a territory we are in competition with the whole world so we must refine our skills to communicate and promote the specificities of our territories in an increasingly effective way”.
For this new adventure, the Park has turned to the communication agency Ciclica.cc., also to activate synergies with regional promotion. The agency with offices in Florence, Milan and soon in London, has been specializing for several years in territorial communication and marketing and collaborates with Toscana Promozione in the slow tourism sector. Recently, together with other companies, it founded the Slow Travel Network, a network of realities that promote integrated services for the enhancement of the territory with sustainable tourism that responds to new global trends and organizes the Slow Travel Fest every year, the festival entirely dedicated to the culture of slow travel on foot and by bicycle.
Val d’Orcia s.r.l. was founded in 1996, deals with the design and implementation of area projects with a destination marketing perspective; promotes studies and research aimed at analyzing the territorial and environmental potential of the area, management of the Unesco site; promotion of the tourist offer; promotion of agro-tourist-cultural itineraries and cultural and recreational activities.
