From Torrenieri take the old Cassia road towards Siena,
you will go past a few farmhouses until you arrive at the farmhouse called
Podere Collodi. Follow the marked trail, go past the locality Colombaio,
and up a steep hill which takes you through vineyards and the woods of Colle
di Montalcino. After you have gone past a small church covered in ivy you
arrive at an archway called Porta Brunelli, which leads into the medieval
town of Montalcino. |
